Course Summary
Psychology will give you an understanding of the way people think and why people behave in certain ways. You will learn a variety of skills including analytical thinking, improved communication, problem solving and many more that will prepare you for an exciting future.
The activities you will be engaged in will be
·Debate and discussion ·Research ·Use of scientific methods for collecting and analysing data ·Analysing and evaluating theories and research studies ·Psychological experiments ·Interviewing and surveying other people ·Mathematical skills including statistical and qualitative analysis ·Visits/conferences · Group work
How to prepare for the course
Attend the sixth-form taster sessions. Complete the Summer tasks that will be set for you to complete over the summer to help you build the foundations of your knowledge and understanding prior to commencing the course.

How will it be delivered and assessed?
Whilst you will sit mid and end of unit assessment as well as trial exams throughout the 2 year course, the summative assessment for this course is made up of 3 two hour exams at the end of Year 13
