Hair and Media Make-Up (Theatrical & Special Effects) - Level 3

This course is for those wishing to pursue a career within a variety of specialised fields including TV and film, fashion, photography, special effects, make-up and stage.

You will be working with colleagues within the beauty related industries, learning skills including:

• Maintaining Health & Safety
• Creative Hairstyling and dressing
• Hair Extensions
• Body and face painting
• Special effects make-up
• Prosthetics and Bald caps
• Fashion and photographic
• Make-up
• Apply airbrush Make-up to the face
• Media Make-up 'characters'
• Camouflage Make-up

There is a process of continual assessment to include assignments, exams, practical and oral assessment with a summative assessment for theory and practical at the end of the year.

You will need:

• A full level 2 diploma in Media Make-up at Merit or Distinction standard studied at CWA or another further education provider
• Relevant work experience in the industry if the Level 2 diploma was achieved more than 2 years before the application date
• GCSE English and maths at grade 4 or higher
