Course Summary
This course is for those wishing to pursue a career within a variety of specialised fields including TV and film, fashion, photography, special effects, make-up and stage.
Course Details
You will be working with colleagues within the beauty related industries, learning skills including:
- Maintaining Health & Safety
- Creative Hairstyling and dressing
- Hair Extensions
- Body and face painting
- Special effects make-up
- Prosthetics and Bald caps
- Fashion and photographic
- Make-up
- Apply airbrush Make-up to the face
- Media Make-up 'characters'
- Camouflage Make-up
How will it be delivered and assessed?
There is a process of continual assessment to include assignments, exams, practical and oral assessment with a summative assessment for theory and practical at the end of the year.
Entry requirements
You will need:
- A full level 2 diploma in Media Make-up at Merit or Distinction standard studied at CWA or another further education provider
- Relevant work experience in the industry if the Level 2 diploma was achieved more than 2 years before the application date
- GCSE English and maths at grade 4 or higher
