About us

Welcome to Cambourne Sixth Form, opening in September 2024. I am delighted that you’d like to know more about our Sixth Form.

Since opening in 2013, Cambourne Village College has been growing rapidly to serve our diverse local community; our newly-built Sixth Form represents the next exciting phase of our journey. We are keen to recruit ambitious students who will help us to create a friendly, dynamic and aspirational learning community where every individual is valued and respected, where student experience and feedback guide us, and where strong staff-student relationships are at the heart of our success. Aspiring for Excellence in all that we do, our curriculum offers a wide range of high-quality A Level and applied vocational courses and gives students the freedom and flexibility to build an individualised study programme that maximises their sixth form experience.

LYNN MAYES - PRINCIPAL OF CAMBOURNE VILLAGE COLLEGE

Every CamSF student will follow an individualised programme of study to enable them to pursue their interests and broaden their skillsets, with the goal of equipping and empowering students to progress to their chosen next steps. The freedom and flexibility to build your programme of study is unique to our Trust. In addition to choosing from the range of A-Levels or BTEC programmes we offer, you can personalise your study programme by selecting a fourth A-Level, or the highly regarded IPQ (International Project Qualification). You could also complete the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification), or Level 3 Core Maths; the choice is yours. In order to empower you to make the right decisions about your programme of study, applicants will be given a highly supportive guidance meeting in which we ensure you have the right combination of qualifications to put you on the path to success.

Sixth Form life is about more than academic achievement. We intend our students to be able to make the most of a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities beyond the classroom, ones that will enable you to develop a wide range of skills and experiences that will benefit you in the future. This includes sports clubs and competitions, social events and societies, international and domestic trips, and the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award scheme.
